Plum Curculio: Based on the New York DD model and predicted weather, most orchards in the state should reach the end of PC activity around June 14th (i.e., 340 DD from Petal Fall, Base 50 F). Careful monitoring of your orchard will confirm any fresh injury Note: The warm temperatures that are predicted toward the end of this week will be favorable for PC activity.

Codling Moth: At the UVM HRC, we are at 342 DD (Base 50 F) from   first trap capture (May 7). Under light pest pressure situations, a treatment at 360 DD should be effective against this insect.

Apple Maggot: It is time to make sure your traps are clean !
