Neither apple received any fungicide spray

Scab is a serious fungal disease of apples that- unless controlled with fungicides- results in severely blemished fruit that are largely un-marketable. The Northeast Sustainable Apple Project is a research and education program looking at scab-resistant apple cultivars as an alternative to reduce fungicide use in Northeast commercial apple orchards.
