Fly Speck -- From May 31 to today, 240 hours of leaf wetness have accumulated at the UVM Hort.Res.Center. If your orchard is prone to fly speck and you plan on using captan, it should be applied before 270 hours of leaf wetness have accumulated starting from 10 days past petal fall. Please Note: Other areas of the state have received more rain this week than the HRC, so parts of the state may already be at 270 hours. Please see Table 15 of the Apple Pest Management Guide for more details on fungicide options.
