Apple Scab Alert:    

It is estimated that we still have a low percentage of mature apple scab ascospores in the overwintering leaves on the orchard floor (aver. 1-3 %, with a range of 0-14%). However, last year was a bad scab year for many orchards and there is potentially a high amount of overwintering inoculum . In other words, a low % of a high potential ascospore dose is significant. Be prepared to protect your trees if you are beyond 1/4 " green and rain is predicted.
