FQPA

What is the FQPA?

On August 3, 1996 the President signed the Food Quality Protection Act (FQPA) of 1996.    This law amends the two major laws that governed the use of pesticides:   the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) and Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FFDCA).     It is envisioned that the implementation of the FQPA will have a major impact on food production in the United States.
