After a 4-month intermission, our letter is up and running again. Our goal this year will be to publish a monthly newsletter from March through November.  During the winter months, materials will be sent to you as needed.  The contents of this newsletter reflect suggestions received from growers in the 1998 UVM Apple Extension Program Evaluation survey. So, for this year, we will focus on horticultural and IPM practices that improve fruit quality. Another suggestion that had been made, was for us to include a section for the beginner orchardist. For these growers, you will see a section covering the basic principles of apple production.
